  • Overview

    DM865 is a new generation of high-performance two-phase digital stepping driver based on 32-bit DSP technology developed by our company, with a driving voltage of 18-80Vdc, adaptable to a current of 6.5A or less, with an external diameter of 57-86mm of various models of two-phase hybrid stepping motors.

    The driver samples servo-like control principle, unique circuit design, superior software algorithm processing, so that the motor can run smoothly, almost no vibration and noise. Smooth and precise current control technology greatly reduces motor heating. External 16-step adjustable maximum speed.1 6-step adjustable maximum current. Optocoupler isolated differential signal input, strong anti-interference ability, with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current protection and other error protection functions. Potentiometer to realize stepless speed change!

    Characteristic
    • PI control algorithm, low noise, low vibration, low heat generation;
    • Signal input: single-ended, pulse + direction and dual pulse;
    • Built-in microstepping; power supply: maximum up to DC90V;
    • Current setting is convenient, 16 levels optional, output current peak up to 7A-6.5A; current is halved after 1 second of inactivity;
    • Factory default highest microstepping adjustable up to 25,600 levels.
    • Optically isolated differential signal input, input pulse frequency up to 300KHz.

    Adapts to 4, 6, 8-wire 2-phase stepper motors with 57 and 60 flanges.
    • Over-voltage, under-voltage alarm, phase current over-current protection, motor phase open circuit detection and other functions.
    • Pulse, direction and enable terminals have constant current input function, can be directly connected to the input signal.
    • It can be directly connected to the input signal without the need for external series current-limiting protection.
    • Self-generated pulse: built-in oscillator, dial code or switching signal control motor start/stop, 16 speeds switching by itself.

    Control signal wiring instructions

    Function Symbolic Mean Note
    Pulse Signal PUL+ Start/stop signal positive Default pulse is valid on the falling edge; pulse width should be greater than 1.2μs for reliable response to pulse signals Input voltage range: 3.3~28V.
    PUL- Start/stop signal negative
    Direction Signal DIR+ Direction signal positive The motor's rotation direction depends on the DIR signal. When the DIR signal is floating or at a low level, the motor rotates clockwise; when the DIR signal is high, the motor rotates counterclockwise. To ensure reliable motor direction switching, the direction signal should be established at least 5μs before the pulse signal. The motor's initial running direction is related to the motor winding connections; swapping any winding pair (such as A+ and A-) can change the motor's initial running direction.Input voltage range: 3.3V~28V.
    DIR- Direction signal negative
    Enable Signal EN+ Enable signal positive Enable control signal: This input signal is used to enable or disable the driver output.When ENA is at a low level (or the internal optocoupler is conducting), the driver cuts off the current to all motor phases, putting the motor in a free state and ignoring step pulses.If this function is not needed, simply leave the enable signal terminal floating.Input voltage range: 3.3~28V.
    EN- Enable Signal Negative
    Alarm Signal ALM+ Alarm Signal Positive Output It can be changed to a position signal and a brake signal through the host computer software.
    ALM- Alarm Signal Negative Output
